Joe Lee Stevens grew up in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains in Knoxville, Tennessee. (Go Vols!) He was immersed in music from his earliest days, growing up on Ricky Skaggs and Dolly Parton in a God-fearing, musically gifted family. By the age of five, Joe was picking out melodies on the piano, humming harmony lines, and learning drum rhythms from his Dad. His love for music grew with each new instrument he picked up.

While majoring in vocal performance in college, Joe started playing music professionally and decided to move to Nashville to further his career. For the past 25 years, he has been blessed with opportunities to play drums, guitar, piano, and mandolin for over 25 artists, in a variety of genres, including Avalon, Michael English, and Dottie Rambo. He has toured all over the U.S. playing everything from Nascar races, to award shows, to the Ryman, and the Grand Ole Opry. Throughout the years he has served his local church as a worship leader and instrumentalist. In addition to being an accomplished musician, Joe is a gifted songwriter. He's had the honor of writing for artists in the country, gospel, and bluegrass genres.

Since 2021, Joe had been performing full time locally in the Smoky Mountains at many well-known venues, including Dollywood, The Island, Ole Red, and Jason Aldean's.  Joe's versatility shines through in his ability to comfortably provide lead vocals and harmonies on drums, guitar, keys, and mandolin. As a solo artist, Joe Lee Stevens, presents a musical blend of country, bluegrass, and gospel music with a bluesy twang. Paired with songs we all know and love, his original songs tell stories of Appalachian heritage, faith, family, love, and heartache for an energetic light hearted experience that will make you laugh and want to sing along. Joe has been labeled a walking jukebox, due to his large catalog of cover songs and original music and is always eager to try new requests. He never meets a stranger and thrives on making new friends at every show.

Joe's most important job is at home, where he lives with his beautiful wife of 16 years and their four energetic boys. Their self-proclaimed "Stevens Circus" is wild, a litte chaotic, and so much fun. They enjoy spreading joy to the world through jokes, music, and togetherness on their family social media pages, which have gained 400k followers combined.  When he's not busy making music or leading the circus on a fun family adventure, you can probably find Joe cuddled up with his wife or pouring fresh ground coffee over ice for the first or fourth time that day.
